The Jeep® brand Triumphs at the 2016 OFF ROAD Magazine Awards in Germany

• Three Jeep_® models achieve top placing in the readers' choice awards in 2016 OFF ROAD magazine awards in Germany.
• For the second year in a row Jeep Renegade claims top placing in the "Subcompact SUV" category
• The iconic Jeep Wrangler is the winner in the "Off-Road vehicle" category and the flagship Grand Cherokee is the favorite imported luxury SUV.

The expert readers of the prestigious German SUV and 4×4 specialist magazine "OFF ROAD" have selected  their favorite off-road vehicles of the year at the annual OFF ROAD AWARDS, choosing from a total of 126 models across 12 categories. As in 2015, the Jeep_® brand achieved two first places.

The Jeep Renegade won the title of best "Subcompact" vehicle in the C category with a score of 44.5%, making it the first choice of almost half of the OFF ROAD readers who participated in the vote, with the runner-up earning only 16.7% of the votes. This is a particularly impressive achievement as the Renegade is the first Jeep model ever to run in the compact SUV class. Its unmistakable Jeep design, as well as its class-leading 4x4 capability, were clearly a hit with OFF ROAD readers.

The iconic Jeep Wrangler was awarded the first place in the "Off-Road vehicle" A  category, totaling 38% of the readers' votes. The Wrangler is the true descendant of the 1941Willys MB, the world's first light 4x4 vehicle and a milestone vehicle in automotive history.

The flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee was named  favorite imported  luxury SUV in the "Luxury SUV" B  category.

Each year since 1982 "OFF ROAD" readers have participated in the voting for the OFF ROAD AWARDS and for the 2016 edition of the magazine's awards its loyal and enthusiastic readership submitted a total 85,080 votes.
