The Jeep® brand proudly upholds its leading role on the surfing scene by sponsoring Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France 2013, the key ASP World Championship event scheduled to run in Hossegor (France) from September 23rd to October 6th.

Two of the most important international surfing contests will be taking place at once. Roxy Pro France will be the world's 17 best surfers' last chance to climb the 2013 ranking of the ASP Women's World Tour, the prestigious women's shortboard circuit, ahead of the finals in Portugal.

Quiksilver Pro France will draw the very best surfers competing for the ASP World Championship title and thousands of surfing enthusiasts to the beaches of Hossegor. The most famous junior competition, Quiksilver King of The Groms, will take place at the same time, with the participation of the Italian surfing talent Leonardo Fioravanti.

Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France is more than just a competition: it is a real celebration of surfing culture, offering a complete programme of exclusive concerts and free events.

The iconic and capable Jeep Wrangler, displayed in a dedicated area at the beach, will be at the side of the surfers participating in the contest. In addition, a fleet of Jeep vehicles will be at disposal of the athletes and the organisation during the entire duration of the event.

The involvement in Pro France 2013 is a further step in Jeep's partnership with Quiksilver, the surfing apparel and equipment leader. The collaboration was kicked off last March with Jeep Onboard, a project focusing on shared values and the common commitment to promote passion for surfing and action sports.

Surfing is a practical expression of Jeep's values and embodies the spirit of freedom, passion and adventure that characterises all the models in its range. The feeling of being perfectly in tune with the environment and the forces of nature, the challenge of waves and wind, the desire to push the limits: this is the fascination of surfing that is a lifestyle, more than just a dynamic sport. Jeep also shares with surfing enthusiasts the attitude to live out emotions fully and in the most authentic and independent way. Just as the surfer who rides the waves dominates the forces of nature through his skill, in the same way, every Jeep model is capable of overcoming any obstacle thanks to technology which has been refined through 72 years of driving on the most hostile routes and in the most extreme conditions.

Surfing as a way of life and of thinking instead of a simple sports discipline is the concept expressed in "Bella Vita", the full-length film featuring the product placement of Jeep, which will have its world preview a few hours before Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France 2013 starts, at the 61st San Sebastian International Film Festival. Directed by Jason Baffa, the film explores the fledgling Italian surfing scene documented by an international crew for the first time. Baffa spent three months travelling up and down Italy on a Jeep with surfer and artist Chris Del Moro, searching for waves to ride in the company of internationally famed surfers, like the Jeep-sponsored young athlete Leonardo Fioravanti.

Special contents on Bella Vita and its protagonists can be downloaded from the Jeep Community website at www.jeep-people.com and the Jeep-People social networks. Pictures and reports on the Jeep experience at Quiksilver and Roxy Pro France 2013 will be constantly posted on the same channels. Our 'guide extraordinaire' on the Basque coast during the event will be Italian surfing champion Roberto D'Amico, who will lead the Jeep-People Community fans to one of the world's most important contests in Hossegor through some of the best surfing spots in the area.
