Camp Jeep® 2017 gets under way

• The Jeep_® Owners Group (JOG)'s biggest event takes place at the Teltow Fläming Ring on June 24 and 25.
• Visitors can enjoy three off-road trails with the aid of the Jeep Academy.

Camp Jeep_® 2017 gets under way tomorrow at the Teltow Fläming Ring in Germany, once again attracting hundreds of fans of the brand from right across Europe.

The gathering - the biggest annual event held by the Jeep® Owners Group (JOG) - offers two action-packed days of sporting activities and entertainment in 300 hectares of private woodland just south of Berlin.

A series of off-road trails of varying difficulty criss-cross the venue, giving visitors the chance to test both their own driving ability and Jeep brand's legendary off-road capability.

A packed programme and three test-drive levels

Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy a fun and unforgettable programme designed to thrill participants of all ages.

Off-road test drives alongside a qualified instructor will be available on three trail circuits featuring natural and artificial obstacles, including 10 metre high walls with a gradient of more than 70%, alongside theoretical and practical training courses run by the Jeep Academy.

Other activities include kayaking, a Jeep tug-of-war, a DJ Set by Radio Energy, a BBQ Grilling Campus by RÖSLE, a Canyon Bikes Show & Test Booth and a children's section with small pedal Jeep SUVs, remote-controlled cars and Canyon bikes.

For motor racing fans, a 5 km track sponsored by Falken Tyre will give attendees the chance to put their driving skills to the test alongside a professional instructor, and experience first-hand the adrenaline-charged acceleration tests at the wheel of the Grand Cherokee SRT, the high-performance version of the most award-winning SUV ever.

Jeep Compass: the new compact SUV

The undisputed star of Camp Jeep will be the Jeep Compass, the brand's new compact SUV, which will be available for exciting test-drives on the trails around the Motzener See.

Recently presented to the international press, the new model will arrive in Jeep showrooms across main European markets in July, with a combination of unique features, including legendary top-in-class 4x4 off-road capabilities, authentic and modern Jeep design, excellent road dynamics and user-friendly technology for on-vehicle connectivity and safety.

The Zooppa contest

The winner of the 'Jeep Wave' video competition, run in association with the famous Zooppa platform, will be announced during the weekend. Of the three finalists still in contention, the prize will go to the video that best captures the strong bond between every Jeeper and their Jeep and celebrates the handover of the Jeep legacy between hardcore Jeepers" (the long-term owners) to "Millennial Jeepers" (the youngest generation of owners).

Launched on the brand's social media channels at the end of February, the contest has involved more than 600 video makers, with the aim of showing that the new, Millennial generation share the same passion and values as every Jeep owner.

Mopar® at Camp Jeep

Mopar®, Official Partner of the Jeep brand for car customisation and aftersales service, will also be a key presence at the event. Visitors to the Mopar® stand, in the Camp Jeep central areas, will be able to admire a Jeep Wrangler fitted with the high-performance Mopar® One Pack, the customisation that equips the car to tackle even the most extreme off-road conditions in complete safety, with on-road type-approval guaranteed. Also on display, in the zone adjoining the off-road test area, will be the Mopar® Express Care, the vehicle built on a Fiat Ducato base that becomes a genuine mobile workshop, offering a wide range of services, including electronic diagnostics and checkup, routine maintenance (filters, brakes, battery, light bulbs, oil), air-conditioner service, tyre service, window replacement and repair, interior cleaning and original accessory installation.
